Conducting Community STEM Activities
On Jan 2nd and 3rd (2020), we have helped conduct STEM fairs in partnerships with various organizations (local and out of state) for Bolingbrook community. The STEM fair ran from 9 AM to 4 PM during those two days. Almost 200-250 kids participated in the event. Bolingbrook Stem Association and Purdue University (NorthWest Campus) participated in the event.
Since it was winter break hence, many students from Bolingbrook High School were unable to attend. But couple of students (Trisha P., and Tejas P.) BHS Robotic Clubs (Nano Raiders) volunteered at the short notice and helped conduct smoothly.
There were lot of of elementary and middle school kids from the community who participated in the 2-day event (9 to 5 PM). There were few high school kids from nearby schools also attended the STEM-fair.
